Description

The Gospels do not begin a different story. They announce that the story Yahweh has been unfolding from Genesis has reached a decisive moment.

A Discipleship Journey Through the Life and Ministry of the Messiah in the Gospels follows Yahshua within the covenant story of Israel, helping readers understand His identity, message, signs, teaching, death, and resurrection in light of the Torah, the Writings, and the Prophets.

Yahshua arrives as the Son of Abraham, Son of David, Son of God, promised Messiah, and Prophet like Moses. His ministry announces the Kingdom of God, calls Israel to repentance, forms disciples, confronts distorted traditions, heals the sick, casts out unclean spirits, forgives sins, and reveals what covenant faithfulness looks like from the heart.

His teachings continually draw upon the story already established. The Shema, Torah, Sabbath, appointed times, Kingdom, covenant, Son of Man, shepherd, bridegroom, Passover, sacrifice, and resurrection all carry the reader back into what Yahweh has previously revealed.

The workbook helps readers examine the four Gospel accounts together without flattening their distinctive contributions. Particular attention is given to the way Yahshua teaches disciples to hear, follow, trust, obey, love, serve, and participate in the mission of the Kingdom.

The journey ultimately moves toward Jerusalem, Passover, the suffering and death of the Messiah, and His resurrection from the dead. What appears to be defeat becomes the turning point of the biblical story.

But the resurrection is not the end. The Messiah commissions His disciples, and the question becomes: What happens when the risen King begins forming His people and sending them into the world?
