Volume One begins by helping readers develop a framework for studying Scripture within its larger story. It then begins in Genesis and follows the unfolding narrative through the Torah, Writings, Prophets, and ultimately the life and ministry of Yahshua the Messiah in the four Gospels.

Volume Two picks up where Volume One concludes, beginning with Acts and continuing through the apostolic writings before culminating in Revelation.

Together, the two volumes provide a continuous journey from Genesis to Revelation, helping readers see how the Covenants, people, promises, events, teachings, warnings, and hopes of Scripture connect and develop as one unfolding story.

You may know many of the pieces.
Discovering God’s Story helps you fit those pieces together and understand the story they are telling.

The companion workbooks follow the same journey as the books but are designed to help readers engage with that story more personally.

Workbook Volume One accompanies Volume One.
Workbook Volume Two continues alongside Volume Two.

Rather than simply repeating what the books teach or asking readers to recall information, the workbooks guide them back into Scripture to examine the biblical text for themselves, ask meaningful questions, recognize patterns and connections, and consider what Yahweh is revealing.
Each lesson is built around four movements.

At the heart of the workbooks is the conviction that discipleship involves more than receiving someone else’s conclusions. Readers are encouraged to learn how to seek, examine, question, discover, and grow for themselves. The goal is not to do all of the thinking for the reader, but to help develop people who know how to return to Scripture, recognize the larger story, and continue discovering what Yahweh is revealing.

The workbooks are also designed with community in mind. Scripture was never intended merely to produce isolated individuals with more biblical knowledge. Discovery becomes richer as people learn together, ask questions, listen to one another, offer correction and encouragement, and put what they are learning into practice within their relationships and communities.

Ultimately, the workbooks are intended to help move the reader from information toward formation, from knowing the biblical story to becoming a faithful participant within it.

The journey moves from:

learning the story,
to understanding the story,
to discovering our place within it, and
faithfully living it out together.
